Women's sports aren't interesting to watch..." We've said it to ourselves: "I'm not good enough... I'm too old... I don't know what I'm doing... Only kids play sports..." It's time we change the world.
The truth is both individual and team sports bring joy and inspiration at any age, and those feelings don't disappear just because recess ends or the need for work-life balance sets in. Being an athlete makes you strong, confident, healthy, focused, brave, and resilient. Being an athlete makes your life better at every age and at every level. Being an athlete isn't about being the best; it's about being the best version of yourself.
Sports for Women's mission is to create and promote athletic opportunities for women including building a network of women's sports campuses, the first of their kind in the world, across the United States. Our programs will promote community engagement, lifelong fitness, healthy competition, team camaraderie, and fun. Our diversity of sports and sporting activities - including social events and active recreation - will strive to reach athletes from every age group, culture, and socio-economic background.
Together, we can improve the lives of athletes we know and love -- our professional role models along with our mothers, sisters, spouses, friends, and daughters. We can create a new world, where all women get the support and respect they want and deserve, on and off the field.
