Sports for Women believes that the key to our success is collaboration with amazing and successful existing programs that are thriving in New England. Together we are building Sports Express, a summer program designed to promote health, wellness, creativity, movement, self-expression, collaboration and fun.
The Sports Express ideal is learning, exploring and playing many sports. Over the course of our nine week pilot, girls will work with professional soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, running, basketball, volleyball, football, and fast pitch coaches and players.
Nutrition and health will be woven throughout our daily program
Dance and movement exploration
Meditation, self awareness, and learning a yoga vocabulary that they may take with them and practice beyond the nine week program.
The program will offer safety tips, scenario discussions, and some empowering self-defense techniques over the nine week program
Teachers will work on self expression through writing.
We are working with GSEMA to create a scouting program that will compliment the other components of Sports Express.
